For example, Molykote 111 Compound can be used when constructing or connecting swimming pools, so that the connections, seals, etc. remain tight over the summer and can be moved easily when dismantling in late summer/autumn.
Molykote 111 Compound is resistant to most chemicals, has low volatility and excellent water resistance and with a service temperature range of -40°C to 200°C can be used in many other professional (plumbing, electrical) as well as domestic applications.
Molykote 111 Compound is insoluble in water, methanol or mineral oil and is not significantly attacked by mineral oils, vegetable oils or air. It is generally resistant to dilute acids and alkaline substances and to most aqueous solutions. It is largely resistant to a large number of organic and inorganic chemicals. Since each application varies in chemical composition, pressure, flow rate, relubrication that may be required, and type of equipment, it is recommended that the silicone be tested prior to regular use.
